I often like to take the stance that PowerPoint is the most underestimated / unjustly maligned app. The problem is not the software, but the users who misuse it.
Anyway, a feature has appeared in the current test versions that is exciting for business and especially for the education sector: Cameo.
With Cameo, it will be possible in the future to embed a live video image of yourself into a slide or presentation. This is particularly interesting for flipped classroom scenarios and for recording e-learning content. You can prepare a presentation, record it with video and audio, and show yourself during the presentation.

The cool thing is that you can design the shape and behavior of this selfie video window as you like. The window is an object, giving you all the design possibilities that PowerPoint offers.

If you have multiple cameras on your PC/Mac, you can of course also select which camera to use.

This allows you to create similar settings with PowerPoint as with Camtasia, mmhmm and other apps.
As mentioned, the feature is currently only available in the developer versions. However, it already works reliably on Windows and Mac computers. I assume it will make it into the live builds soon.
