In my series on digital note-taking apps, I have described the advantages of several apps:
No app is perfect. Therefore, here’s a look at various helpers that make digital note-taking easier.
Just Press Record
Just press record is a small, fine app that allows you to quickly and easily create an audio note on any Apple device. You click the big red dot and speak your thoughts. The app saves and synchronizes the recordings and can automatically transcribe them into text if desired. Especially practical on the Apple Watch ๐

OSX NoteExport
In the post about Apple Notes, I wrote that it’s somewhat difficult to export notes from the standard app in iOS and OSX. Fortunately, there’s a small program in the OSX App Store called NoteExport, which provides a solution: with this small app, you can export notes as Markdown, including all embedded images and documents.
Pandoc
Another tool I like to use to convert texts from format A to format B is called Pandoc. Pandoc is a universal converter that can be accessed on the web. I’m always amazed at all the conversions that are possible there.

Milanote
What was completely missing in my app compilation is the approach of collecting notes as a mind map. Here, Haeme has already introduced a great tool that I can also highly recommend: Milanote!
Paperlike
Lastly, not an app but a piece of hardware ๐ I use the Paperlike screen protector on my iPad. Firstly, it protects the glass screen from scratches or cracks, and secondly, Paperlike provides a much better writing and drawing feel when you’re on the go with the Pencil. On the original glass screen, the writing experience is somewhat slippery. With the screen protector, it feels much more like writing on paper. Definitely a recommendation!
