LinkedIn Soon with Audio Rooms (Aka Clubhouse)

LinkedIn, the largest business network, is planning new features with audio and video. A beta will be launched in the coming weeks.
LinkedIn Soon with Audio Rooms (Aka Clubhouse)

Currently, over 800 million people are active on LinkedIn. It is the most well-known and widely used business network. We authors from the Publishingblog are also quite active on LinkedIn.

For a long time now, it’s no longer just about setting up your own profile. LinkedIn already has many features for community building on board. You can form groups, conduct meetups, initiate discussions, or even learn with LinkedIn Learning.

Now, in the coming weeks, another feature will be added: audio rooms. Known from Clubhouse and other platforms. LinkedIn adopts the principle that members can meet in a virtual audio room. If you want, you can simply sit in the room and listen to others. Or you can actively participate and speak on stage.

Later, video will be added to the audio. I estimate that Microsoft Teams will be integrated into LinkedIn – after all, they both come from the same parent company.

Let’s see what comes of it all. Certainly interesting features if you want to position yourself on LinkedIn and use the network actively.

The image shows a mockup with the new audio functions. The participants of an audio room appear with their profile picture in a tab. The people on stage are slightly more prominently highlighted.
